PLASTIC LOGIC QUE

Plastic Logic set out to design an e-reader for the suit-and-tie crowd. If it appeared unbranded, you might even suspect it slipped out of the R&D labs at Research in Motion. Archos 5 Internet Tablet

Archos 5 Internet tablet is better than Apple iPod Touch on paper. It features FM transmitter, Bluetooth, integrated GPS, 4.8 inches screen and 720p high-definition video playback. The interesting factor is that it comes in different specifications starting from $249 for 8GB model with micro-SD card slot and thin body. Its hard-drive version of 500GB costs around $489. Our test model of 32GB costs $362.99. Every aspect of Archos 5 Internet tablet is so made to attract the die-hard digital media fans and stay away them from Apple iPod Touch and Microsoft Zune HD. If you ever wished to have GPS in Apple iPod Touch, then go for Archos 5. If you ever think about small screen and limited support for video codec in Zune HD, then go for Archos 5. This tablet device uses Google Android platform and provides Archos Download Store. This store has limited variety of applications; still it is comparable to iPhone App Store.

Canon Pixma MP560 review

The Canon Pixma MP560 is an all-in-one printer with great look, bright display and functional feature set including auto-document feeder. However, its printing quality is average and the printing speed is mediocre. Therefore, we will recommend you to go for Lexmark Impact S305 that has both Ethernet jack and Wi-Fi. In addition, the S305 printer delivers higher quality with fast printing speed in $50 less. You can flip out the right side panel on the Canon Pixma MP560 to reveal a colorful 2-inch LCD display on the lid and controls on the panel. These controls are Easy Scroll Wheel in the center, start/stop buttons, option for number of copies, and some switches. You can use the wheel to navigate the menus and image albums. The memory card slot is located behind a small door beneath the display and supports micro-SD, MMC, SD, XD, and Memory Stick cards. You will also find the PictBridge.

SONY S-series Walkman

Sony made millions with the S-Series Walkman when it was released in 2008 and for its successor; the manufacturer has made the player more compact and sleek. There are plenty of useful features including a big battery life and awesome sound quality. The great battery life and stellar audio quality is still there but the feature set is shrunk. On the bright side, the price has been brought down. This player costs $130 for 16 GB model and the 8 GB version will cost you $110. The price along with battery life and audio quality saves the day for this player. Sony S-Series Walkman, second generation is bigger than the previous iteration. A bigger device might come in the way of portability but you get a bigger screen. It has also bright color screens that you'll love to....

Nintendo 3D

Nintendo President Saturo Iwata officially announced the first ever 3D gaming console at the E3 press conference held by the company. In terms of looks, this new product is quite similar to the DSi but there are some new features like three and half inch 3D screen on the upper half and a standard touch screen at the bottom. On the touch screen's left, you have the analog 'slide button' which can be used a joystick and the standard D-pad is also there. The manufacturer did not reveal the technology behind the 3D feature but the president said that you can adjust the depth of 3D by adjusting the slider. You can also tune it according to your personal preference. There have been lots of graphical changes in the Nintendo 3DS, the president showed all this in the conference. There is a camera above the upper screen and on.

MOTOROLA Droid X

A big 4.3 inch touch screen dominates the Motorola Droid X's surface and it looks really gorgeous. A bigger screen gives you a bigger resolution and hence you have more real estate.  Also remember  it is a capacitive touch screen so you don’t need a stylus. The screen is very user friendly, just like your iPhone. Motorola Droid X is running on revised version of Moto Blur so the experience will be different from Clique or previous Motorola phones that you might have used. There are some changes done here and we really like this new layout. Underneath the screen, there are four physical buttons and we thank the manufacturer for this. These buttons come in really handy at times because you have to go digging inside the touch screen sometimes.

Toshiba AC100 Android Smartbook

This ‘smart book’ is powered by Android 2.1 OS and it is released only in the UK. No signs of US release yet. The AC100 will compete with standard Netbooks as it has got similar specs. The screen size is 10.1 inches small and it weighs 1.9 pounds which means it is targeted at frequent travelers. The display size is small but it is still good for viewing Webpages or working on word processors. Toshiba AC100 Android smartbook has a 1 GHz Tegra 250 SoC processor which is quite slow but will get basic tasks done. Our standard Netbook admonitions apply; you should use the AC 100 just for working on word documents and Web surfing. Anything above that will bring the smartbook down to its heels. We haven’t got the AC 100 in our labs for testing yet and we are interested to see how the Android OS fares on a laptop platform.

Sony Handycam HDR-CX550V

Sony Handy cam HDR-CX550V has a big screen and with touch screen interface. The screen can be viewed easily even in direct sunlight which is hard to find in camcorders these days. This problem can be attributed to the fact that the camcorder doesn’t have focus assist so you don’t get to magnify the subject on the screen or on the viewfinder while you use manual focus. There is no peaking control for amplifying the edge displays. The manual, instead, instructs you to focus, zoom in and zoom out. Beneath the screen, there are buttons for Night Shot (infrared) and intelligent auto mode. There is also a direct-to-DVD and playback mode. The former can be used with Sony’s DVDirect dock or through the software when you connect it to a computer. You can control the GPS switch and you also get a manual power button along with automatic operation when the EVF is pulled
